What is the Process?
The Tar and Chip surfacing is a combination of hot liquid emulsion (Tar) and clean premium aggregates (Chip). Preparation normally includes (but is not limited to) grading and leveling, compaction and re-basing with appraise materials where required. We then spray an application of hot liquid asphalt emulsion (Tar) and top dress/spread a premium aggregate (Chip) on top. *The process is repeated as necessary depending on the job. Finally we utilize a vibratory compaction to complete the process. The result is an exceptional surface that looks great, is long-lasting and cost effective.
